Famed catcher from the National League, and hero of the 1986 World Series Champions - New York Mets, Gary Carter offered up this 1989 road jersey with a signature and special inscription, "My last uniform as a Met, All the very best and God bless always, Catch ya later, Gary Carter 1989". His signature, a fine 8 out of 10, and the inscription are on the front, under the bold, sewn-on orange/blue/white lettering of “New York". On the back, with same lettering as front, “Carter” and “8”. The gray jersey has moderate use, with only a few very subtle marks on the upper right chest. Rawlings tag on the inside front tail shows a size 46, with add-ons “T” (tapered), and “8” (uniform number), and extra tag “Set 1, 1989”. Precious for Met fans everywhere.
