Dating from 1940-41, this is the only vintage, single-signed Joe DiMaggio bat that we know of. This historic bat comes to us from the famed collection of Harry Evans, who began to accumulate signed items back in the 1930's. The bat is a 35 3/4" professional model Hillerich and Bradsby 125. The barrel portion where the facsimile signature would be has been carefully inscribed with DiMaggio's 1940 stats by Harry Evans. A most impressive addition, since DiMaggio won the American League batting title that year. Evans then asked DiMaggio to sign the bat in late 1940 or 1941. The signature is in black fountain pen and rates a 9/10. The bat a solid EX-MT. An absolutely killer item!
