On May 5th 1978 Pete Rose collected his 3,000th hit. Rose joined the 3,000-Hit Club in typical "Charlie Hustle" fashion. The fiery Rose beat out an infield hit for #2999 and then followed with a line drive to left for #3000. Both hits came off Montreal pitcher Steve Rogers. Official National League (Feeney) baseball came from this historic game and it shows good use and has toned to a light brown. Signed on a panel in 9/10 black ink "Pete Rose 3000th Hit 5-5-78." Purchased from the Reds gift shop with their certificate of authenticity.
