ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
An early and very exciting pair of Castiles Concert Posters, c. 1965-68. Bruce Springsteen played lead guitar and sang with this group from June, 1965 to August, 1968. The first poster announces an appearance by the Castiles at "The Left Foot" in Freehold, NJ. Also on the bill were the "Rogues", a band Springsteen had practiced with in earlier days; it has been established that the last public performance of this group was in mid-1967, thus dating this poster to the summer of that year, or earlier. The 11" x 17" poster is printed in black on heavy red stock. The poster is randomly dimpled, with several breaking through as small punctures; corners are lightly creased, but there are no pinholes, and overall condition is VG-EX. The second poster announces a gig by the Castiles at "TV's Hullabaloo Scene" held at the "Oaks" in Middletown, NJ. The 11" x 14" poster is printed black on pale yellow, mounted on artist's board and matted to 13" x 17 1/2". Just $1.00 got you in. Apart from a couple of small spots, the visible unmatted portion is free of defects, grading a solid NRMT.
