4 ½ x 6 ½” black and white gem of a photo, pictures legend Ty Cobb swinging a bat in 1908. Photographed by famed Paul Thompson, this picture catches Cobb, with eyes shut, in a very natural stance. Photo is VG, and has a few wrinkles, cracks, and one loose chip on the right side. The back has thin sticker applied which reads, “Ty Cobb, Detroit outfield 1908”, plus same information in pencil, and two stampings, one a “Photo by Paul Thompson”, and another "The Ring, Inc.", the magazine from which whose archives this photo originally came.
