A wonderful and hugely entertaining collection of twelve publicity stills and wire service photos of the original Marx Brothers, and later of a single Groucho from his TV days. All are vintage originals!!! The earliest photo dates to "Coconuts" (1929), and others represent "A Day at the Races" (1937) and "A Girl in Every Port (1952), with one photo also showing William Bendix. Great selection of the early days of television are covered, as well as Groucho with his family (includes two of his wives and daughter Melinda). There is a superb autographed photograph (facsimile) of Groucho, Harpo and Chico in costume, which is inscribed by Groucho "To Children's Hospital of the East Bay - Happy Holidays from the Marx Bros", and is boldly signed by the three brothers. Tells the story of them signing this piece for charity. Photos range in size from 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" to 8" x 10", and all have captions or attributions. Overall EX with some printing marks. An absolutely amazing collection, with dates ranging the late 1920s to the 1950s.
