Five incredibly unique works of art were created in order to raise funds for the USA squad of the 1984 Olympics. This is one of the two that we are offering in this auction. Each piece was created by a star athlete using their field of expertise in a special way. This one is certainly unusual. It has been created by Mike Eruzione, the captain of the "Miracle on Ice" squad that shocked the world at Lake Placid. Eruzione donned his skates, dipped them in paint, and walked over a canvas on the floor. Took his game used Olympic hocky stick and used it as a brush. The resulting artwork is, of course, a one of a kind experience. From this Eruzione creation a series of posters was made and put up for sale. All proceeds were then funneled to the US Olympic team for the 1984 Games. This is the original! The only one in existence. It has stood the test of time and will continue to do so, and will only rise in value as the years pass. It measures 79-3/4 x 53-3/4". Framed, 80-1/2 x 54-1/2". Should be in the USA Hockey Hall of Fame. Includes scanned copy of ad appearing in Sports Illustrated for the posters.
