Lot 851: 1995 & 1999 AHL Game Worn All-Star Game Jerseys

The AHL All-Star Game has always been a good place to see future NHL players. Sawchuk, Bower, Shore, Roy, Brett, Hull etc. These two sweaters were worn in AHL All-Star games. The first is from the 1995 tilt and belonged to future hardnosed NHLer Martin Lapointe. Has a "MasterCard" patch near the right shoulder. Lapointe's "20" on sleeves and verso. Lapointe's signature (8/10) in black marker on the "2" on the back. Reverse also has 3 patches on the tail: "All-Star-Game", "CCM" and "AHL". "CCM" tag next to size "56" tag in collar. Condition is NR-MT. The second jersey belonged to the future USA Olympics goaltender, Robert Esche and was worn in the 1999 AHL All-Star Game. It was one of three Esche wore in the game, played in Philadelphia. Shows light use with a few puck marks. Autographed on the inside back tail. Size 56 Bauer jersey. Was shown to Esche who confirmed he wore it in the game.
