Lot 1127: John Gotti Signed Letter and "Horse Head" Drawing
ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
When men are sent to prison one of the few joys left to them is written correspondence with people outside the prison walls. A certain lady who shall remain nameless struck up a written conversation with one of the most famous prisoners to ever inhabit the penitentiary in Marion, Illinois, the one they called the Dapper Don. One of the letters is from the lady to a friend discussing her ongoing correspondence with Gotti where she tells of always having been fascinated by the Mafia and how she initiated the relationship. The other letter is from Gotti to her and on the cover he has ironically drawn a horse's head and, interestingly enough, he's a pretty good artist. Overall condition of the Gotti letter and drawing is NM-MT with his signature a bold 9/10.
