The Providence Reds played in the AHL from 1936-76. In 1976 the team name was changed to the Rhode Island Reds. This goalie's jersey is from the mid 70's. Was worn by Peter McDuffe, Curt Ridly or Doug Soetaert. It is blue with red and white trim and has an oval crest on the front. In the crest is an "R" with a rooster's comb atop it. His number "1" is on both sleeves and on the reverse. Inside collar tag has a "Gerry Cosby" tag and a size "52" patch. Five team repairs and a small hole on the reverse near the bottom center. Shows excellent use, but retains a superb look.
