Lot 910: 1980 Pittsburgh Penguins Mike Bullard Game Used Rookie Jersey
ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
Forward Mike Bullard made his NHL debut in this ultra-rare Penguins white "home" jersey. His first season coincided also with the first season that Pittsburgh donned the black and gold we are familiar with today, until that year the team colors had been blue and white. The "Penguin" logo is screened on front as is his number "22" on the shoulders and back. Clear signs of a name change are present around the plate across the shoulders which is consistent with the fact that Bullard played only 15 games late in the season following his call up from Brantford. Inside the collar is tagging from "Stall & Dean" accompanied by care tags and [size] "50" and "0" (1980) year flag tags. The jersey displays tremendous use, with numerous stick marks and scuffs, along with having its split fight strap still attached. Just an incredible first year style that can't be missed!
