The very nicely worn Cosmos jersey of Giorgio Chinaglia, here with what appears to be faint blood stains to enliven its authenticity, hearkens back to those heady late-1970's when the U.S.A. Hall of Famer lead the North American Soccer League (NASL) in scoring four times, and ended up being the now defunct League's all-time lead scorer. An Italian, raised and soccer-schooled in Wales, eventually played the sport for his native Italian team Lazio for seven seasons before moving to America and into the hearts and minds of Cosmos fans everywhere. This jersey is cream-colored, with a blue and yellow collar that opens up into a buttonless V-neck. On the front is his modest blue team # "9" and the Cosmos logo patch. Right short sleeve has blue #9 sewn on, and the back is dominated by the big, blue # "9", and name "Chinaglia" arched atop. The jersey is thin and light, and contains the tag of its maker, "Ellesse, Made in Italy".
