The American Caramel Company of Philadelphia, PA produced a baseball card set (E-90-1) that was released in 1911. The set consisted of 120 baseball cards (1-3/8 x 2-3/4"). This set contains what many consider to be the "Honus Wagner" of caramel cards. The above-mentioned card is the scarcest of all caramel cards. Mitchell played right field for eight seasons, mostly with Cincinnati (1907-1914), and was a pretty fair hitter, getting over 80 RBIs in 3 consecutive seasons. Although this card is not the strongest example in terms of condition, it will make an excellent filler for anyone working on and E90-1 set.
