Tensions were running high between the U.S. and U.S.S.R in 1980. The Olympic Center Arena at the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid became a site of more than just an ice hockey contest. The surprising American team was piling up victories and found themselves in the semi-finals against the U.S.S.R, the acknowledged finest team in the world, and a team that had recently destroyed the Americans at MSG 10-5 just before the Olympics. All of a sudden, Americans who didn't have a clue about what icing meant became hockey fans as the event rose to high drama. The U.S. team shocked them 4-3 and went on to win the Gold. Tickets are Overall EX-MT. All are full and unused tickets. Includes the U.S.S.R and Finland games.
