Hank Sauer spent 15 productive seasons in the Major Leagues, with a couple of them being outstanding, especially 1952 when he captured the NL MVP award while a member of the Cubs. This very game used Hillerich & Bradsby model H4 bat of Sauer's has a tapered handle knob, lots of pine tar staining and scuffs from balls no doubt launched to the deepest parts of the parks and over the fences.
