What a find! This is the story of James Marshall and his discovery that led to the California Gold Rush! Hand-drawn in an original pencil sketch, this illustration is card A-20. Subtitled: James Marshall Strikes Gold, it is part of the popular Wild West trading card series. This piece of art was used to produce the actual color card in the series. The artwork is in NRMT condition and measures 3 x 3 1/2”. There are some minor adhesive marks related to the production. Below the original pencil sketch is a typewritten copy paragraph that became the story produced for the rear of the card.
