A powerful embodiment of Joe Louis, the legendary heavyweight champion, this phenomenal 38” statue stands atop a 13 1/4” x 9 1/4” base, adding an additional 4 1/2” of height. The Champ looks absolutely awesome, ready to take on all comers, perhaps saying softly, “You can run... but you can’t hide.” The plaster statue is painted a medium brown, and is signed by the artist. Condition is excellent, with no cracks or repairs. Superficially, some paint is chipped, and a small chip appears at one lower back corner of the base.
