Baseball goes back an awful long way in American history and we’ve got the photos to prove it. Two photos on cardboard show baseball being played in Easthampton, MA circa 1870’s. Originally produced by Knowlton Bros. Photographers of Northampton, MA. The photos are believed to be of a local baseball squad somewhere around 1875. One is 2-1/2 X 4-1/8” and on the reverse reads “Knowlton Bros., Northampton, Mass. while the other is 7 X 3-3/8” and reads “Knowlton Bros., Photographers” on one side and “Connecticut Valley Views” on the other. Not sure if they had hot dogs, popcorn, beer and peanuts at the games but thankfully you can view these while partaking of all of them. Comes with LOA.
