The first set of “Dark Shadows” cards was issued in 1968 to dovetail with the popularity of the ABC TV show and contains 66 cards featuring black-and-white photos of the cast on the fronts and pieces of a puzzle on the backs. Only #s 29, 38, 54 are absent and all but ten of the collection have been Graded and encapsulated by PSA with the vast majority grading NM or better included are NM-MT 8: (6 cards) #s 12, 14, 16, 27, 30, 31; NM-MT 8 (OC) #s 7, 8, 20, 21, 24, 28, 32, 33, 37, 39, 42, 43, 44, 48, 49, 50, 51, 53, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 63, 64, 65 and NM-MT 8 (MC) #s 6, 34. Graded PSA NM 7 are #s 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 17, 18, 19, 23, 40, 41, 60, 66 and PSA EX-MT 6 are #s 1, 11, 36, 47, 52, 61. The remaining cards, #s 10, 13, 15, 22, 25, 26, 45, 46, 35, 62 grade EX to EX-MT. The set is complete except for # 29, 38, and 54.
