Action hero Bruce Lee was enlisted to play sidekick Kato, with Van Williams playing “The Green Hornet”. Lee quipped that he was selected because he was the only Asian they could find who could pronounce “Britt Reid”, the ‘real’ name of the Hornet. Offered is an original script, dated September 27, 1966 for Episode 12 of the series, entitled “Deadline for Death”, which aired on December 12, 1966. The series was given a ratings boost by its appearance on the cover of TV Guide in October, and eventually completed a run of 26 episodes. The 8 1/2” x 11”, 37-page script has “Bruce Lee” written on the cover in the upper right corner. Condition is NRMT.
