RIAA Gold Record Award presented to Mike Batlan in honor of more than 500,000 copies in sales of the Columbia Records long-playing record album “Greetings from Asbury Park” (1973), which was Bruce’s very first album and one of the finest premier efforts in the history of music. Although now considered a classic, the album didn’t achieve the recognition it deserved until years later. Batlan was instrumental in the recording of several Spingsteen albums and served as Springsteen’s long time guitar roadie.
