It’s almost common place to see big time Hollywood hunks in drag nowadays, but when this film came out it was still taboo to discuss Hollywood and homosexuality in public. After all, it was the Cold War and the HUAC hearings led by Joseph McCarthy had very obviously been a thinly disguised attempt to make anti-Semitism and homophobia the equivalent of National Security policy, at least to those paying attention at the time and for contemporary scholars of the period. Cross dressing was about as much thinly veiled social commentary as America could stand back then. This spanish language poster of the smash hit Billy Wilder film starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis is in excellent condition, showing only faint signs of discoloration and age with solid corners and no signs of tearing. It measures 40” x 55” and is 46” x 5’+ framed.
