The 1937 Yankees went a staggering 102-52 in the regular season, finishing thirteen games ahead of the Detroit Tigers, before easily disposing of the New York Giants in five games. It was the second in a series of four straight World Series victories by a dynasty that can hold its own against any other team in history. Then again, a team with Gehrig, DiMaggio, Dickey, Lazzeri, Henrich, Gomez, Ruffing, Rolfe, Selkirk and Crosetti had better win. Gehrig, DiMaggio and Dickey drove in 459 runs just between them.
