UPDATE: This is a working vintage telephone wired with an updated jack. Plug it in and your ready to call Aunt Martha in Peoria.
I’m in the phone booth; it’s the one across the hall. If you don’t answer, I’ll just ring it off the wall. I know he’s there, but I just had to call. Don’t leave me hanging on the telephone. Vintage phone booth that looks like it came straight out of a film noir classic. You can almost picture a mobster ordering a hit while speaking into the old style adjustable mouthpiece. Brown wooden phone booth with folding door to ensure your privacy. Inside, a black dial phone with “Long Distance Telephone” in the center. “Automatic Electric Company” on the center bottom of the phone. Original seat and the original metal ceiling blower with On-Off switch. Socket for light bulb in middle of ceiling. Slots for quarters, dimes and nickels and coin return. Outside front of booth has brass plaque above the door “Telephone.” Jack is still there and all of the wiring remains intact. Phone unit can be replaced and should work. Booth is 30-1/2 X 85 X 30-1/2” while the phone is 6-1/2 X 18 X 4-1/2.” A great “conversation” piece.
