Very rare 1927 Yankee Wilcy Moore Single Signed Baseball from the famous Jim Armstrong Collection. “Cy” Moore was a light-hitting RHP who recorded both a Win (a Complete Game) and a Save in the ‘27 World Series for the Champs against the NL pennant winning Pirates. He gave up just one ER in his start and registered an ERA of 0.84 for his two appearances, surrendering 11 hits and 2 walks over 10 2/3 IP while striking out 2. He also won a game for the Champion Yanks in the 1932 World Series against the Cubs, hurling 5 1/3 shutout innings out of the bullpen, allowing only 2 hits and no walks while striking out a pair. He died in March of ‘63 and was not known to have signed many items making this a truly memorable find. The signature is 9/10 and the ball has been coated with shellac for preservation.
