Argonaut Books produced a series of books dedicated to the stars of baseball. All of the books were written by the players with a wee bit of help from “real” writers. Maris had the help of a fellow named Jim Ogle in writing his “Slugger in Right,” published in 1963. First page has Maris’ signature after “To Richie Best Wishes Always.” The last 5 pages are hitting tips from Maris.
