Byron Bancroft “Ban” Johnson was the founder of the American League and widely considered to be baseball’s most influential executive for nearly a quarter of a century. This lot of 4 b/w photos in excellent condition includes one 4 3/4” wide by 6 3/4” tall w/white border, one 4” by 5 7/8” w/Johnson featured prominently amongst the crowd, one 3 7/8” by 4 1/2” wearing his bowler hat, and one 2 1/2” by 4 1/2” with hat in hand.
