This envelope was signed in 1969 by Ernie Shore, Catfish Hunter, Charles Robertson, Sandy Koufax, and Don Larsen - three of these five players are now deceased! This Babe Ruth first day cover is near mint, as are the signatures. The beautiful logo on the left has elaborate illustrations of Babe Ruth and the Baseball Hall of Fame building and says, “First Day of Issue: Babe Ruth, ‘Sultan of Swat’ Centennial of Baseball 1869-1969”. Written on the front by the original owner in bold black is “Pitchers who have pitched perfect no-hit games.” There’s an illustrated red, green and yellow 6 cent “Professional Baseball 1869-1969” stamp on the corner of the envelope. The envelope is also stamped “Cincinnati, OH., Sept. 24, 1969” in the front amidst the signatures. A highly unique item.
