Oliver Stone wrote it, directed it, and based it on his personal Viet Nam experiences. The powerful film “Platoon” scored with critics, filmgoers...and even “Oscar” as it took home the 1986 Best Picture Academy Award. The New York Times called Platoon “a singular achievement.” You’ll call this movie poster “a singular winner.” The poster comes from Charlie Sheen’s private collection. Mr. Sheen, of course, was one of the stars of Platoon. The mostly black and white poster (measures 27” x 40” approx.) features a gold colored Platoon logo as well as a golden “Best Picture” Academy Award highlight. A black 1/4” frame (slightly scratched) surrounds this piece. There is some slight yellowing on the lower quarter of the almost 20 year old awesome one sheet poster.
