A fresh find from north of the border, this set started it all for post war hockey card collectors. This is low to mid collectors grade set. Highlights include # 1 Lach VG-EX, 4 Richard VG, 10 Harvey VG-EX, 37 Gadsby VG-EX, 61 Sawchuck VG-EX (slight fading and some stock damage to the reverse). Lastly, # 66 Howe is in GD condition and is probably the weakest card in the set. It has a heavy crease to the lower right corner and a light wrinkle running across the middle of the card. Additionally the corners are rounded and there is a small amount of missing stock in the biography section. The card is also slightly faded. The reminder of the set grades 20% VG-EX 50% VG and 30% less. About 25% of the cards have the initials “EG” written on the back in blue pen, 20% have slight damage to the stock on the back, and 15% of the cards are slightly faded on the front. The set is complete except for one card # 52.
