Can you believe it? Rose corked his bats! Not only a super rare Mizuno model PR4192 but also a bat (33-3/4”) used by Pete to hit his 159th career homerun Bat is pounded with use including pine tar on special taped handle and tons of ball marks and sanding on the barrel. “A” stamped on knob. Noted on barrel in faded silver paint pen in Rose’s hand is “Home Run Bat “159” May 20, 1985 Best Wishes Pete Rose.” Signature and writing are 4/10. Best of all is cork in barrel end of bat. He used this model bat in the months leading up to breaking Cobb’s hit record.
