One of the most important and famous names to come out of the aviation era was a woman’s. While the aviatrix’s mysterious disappearance continues to captivate people six decades later, her journey to becoming one of history’s most famous pilots is still an inspirational story. Penned in her own hand on the title page of this copyright 1932 third-edition of “The Fun Of It” (no dust jacket) -- Earhart’s own story of her life and of women’s role in the history of aviation -- this rare and esteemed autograph with inscription, additionally dated by Earhart, are rendered in black fountain ink, grading “9” out of a possible 10: “To Mr. B. Forman - Amelia Earhart Nov. 22, 1932.” Book is EX-MT, contents EX-MT to Near Mint.
