The greatest player in Padres history, Gwynn holds five of the top eleven single-season batting averages since the end of World War II. Louisville Slugger (33-3/4”) awarded for the highest batting average in the NL. Inscribed “Batting Champion 1989 National League B.A. .336.” This was a duplicate made for Gwynn and hung in a restaurant until it was sold.
