“Usher,” derived from the Middle English usser, means both doorkeeper and escort. As at most ballparks, those at Busch play both roles -- they escort those who’ve paid top dollar to the good seats, and keep others out. But they’re nice about it. And they’ll let you stand near the good seats without a hassle. Metal sign at the Usher’s entrance “Smile! You’re on Deck!” reminds the ushers that they are part of the face of the organization. Sign is 24 X 48”. The second piece offered here is a faux brass plaque (9 X 16”) with similar intent. It makes the employees feel pride in their jobs and at the same time reminds them that they are who the public sees as the representatives of the Cardinals organization. It’s important that they treat the fans the way they deserve to be treated. Professional service with a smile is always the most effective policy and the employees at Busch proved this at every game.
