Lot 66: Abert Pujols Framed Photo from Cardinals’ Club

The last superstar to be bred at Busch Stadium, Albert Pujols just may wind up as the greatest Redbird to ever walk on a field. While it was too late to build a statue of him outside this Busch – don’t bet he won’t get one someday outside the next Busch – this pulsating photo of Pujols found a meaningful place on the wall in the main entrance of the Cardinals Club. The sepia toned photo shows Albert striding to meet a pitch, his bat cocked over his left shoulder and his eyes glued to the incoming sphere. On his left sleeve is the “DK 57” patch the team wore after pitcher Darryl Kile’s tragic and untimely death on June 22, 2004. Plaque under image reads: “Albert Pujols”. Photo is matted and gold framed to 39” high and 33” wide, and is in EX-MT condition.
