Lot 89: Wall Signs from Redbird Inn (4)
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Just like Busch Stadium itself, the Redbird Inn situated in the left field grandstand will be greatly missed – especially by those Cardinals fans who frequented the stadium version of the taproom “where everybody knew your name” when they needed to wet their whistles during and after games. These two pairs of signs hung on walls of the Inn’s friendly confines, beckoning old friends. Two are circular signs approx. 42” in diameter with “Budweiser – The Original” emblazoned across the center in white lettering against a sizzling red slash with the Anheuser-Busch “flying A” logo. Sandwiching the slash is “Taproom” beneath and “Since 1876” above (the year Bud began, not the Inn, though it may have seemed that long to its dedicated denizens). The other two signs are oblong die-cut “Redbird Inn” signs approx. 23” high, 16” wide and ½” thick. These have three cute Redbirds perched atop crossed bats on top, “Redbird Inn” in the center and “Est. 1999” and “RBI” at the bottom. Signs have been authenticated by MLB and are all EX-MT. Who’s got this round?
