Lot 301: Game Used Bases and Game-Used Baseball from Jim Edmonds’ 300th Home Run Game, 9/5/04
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Game-used first, second and third bases, and a game-used ball, from the September 5, 2004 game that witnessed Jim Edmonds’ 300th career homer – and 40th of the season. The classy centerfielder became the 103rd member of the 300-homer club with a two-run shot in the second off the Dodgers’ Kazuhisa Ishii, fueling an eventual 5-1 victory at Busch Stadium. It also made him and Albert Pujols the first pair of 40-homer men in Cardinals history. One of the bases has the MLB logo and the Cardinals logo on two sides; on the other bases these logos have worn off due to rain or other use. All bases are lightly imprinted with “Hollywood Base” and the MLB logo on top. All have a good amount of use, as does the Official Major League Baseball used in that landmark Busch game.
