The most delightful variation of the Cardinals Redbird – the inimitable Slugger Bird – positively glows in this neon display that was built into the wall adjacent to the Stadium Club A Sports Bar. Against an orange background, the yellow skeletal outline of the redbird gripping a yellow bat over his right shoulder dazzles the eye, especially in a darkened room. Even the bird’s yellow feet gripping a pole seem to give off sparks. The bird chassis of neon tubes attached to a black metallic backing piece stands 35” tall, 35” wide and approx. 6” deep and is covered by glass in an overall display area of 42” x 42”. The display was built into the wall, something that of course can be replicated by burrowing out space in a wall, or else used without the glass front in a more “naked” display. Either way, Slugger Bird comes with all the electrical wire needed to make it come alive in your own room or bar.
