Lot 157: Home Dugout Back Wall and Bench Section
ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
40” tall x 96” wide section removed from the Busch Stadium home dugout’s thematic rear wall, including the attached section of bench beneath it. Section with a commemorative Busch collage of images consists of two green vinyl cushion-padded panels cut to include a central decal of the stadium with the redbird looming over it surrounded by “Busch Stadium/Final Season/1966-2005.” Extreme left and right sides of the panels have remnants of “New Era” logo printed on them, and the upper middle section bordering the dugout roof reads: “Official Cap of Major League Baseball.” Bench section has a 13.5” seat back area of wooden slats measuring 13.5” top to bottom, and a 16.5” wooden seat covered with green vinyl cushioning though some areas are missing the padding. Just think: the very bench where Smith, McGwire, Edmonds and Pujols once sat, can be in your own home! For a carnivore of Cardinal collectibles, can it get any better?
