Great vintage baseball item, this 1934 Detroit Tigers Champion serving tray was formerly in the Barry Halper Collection. That season, with Hank Greenberg, Mickey Cochrane and Charlie Gehringer leading the way, the Tigers captured the American League Pennant, but lost to the Cardinals in the World Series. In the center of the light wood base is a circular white painted baseball on which the team "Tiger" emblem in natural colors and "DETROIT TIGERS 1934 CHAMPIONS" in black is superimposed. There is a Halper Collection sticker on the bottom of the tray. Overall size is 14 1/2 inches long, 7 1/2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. EX+.
