Magnificent limited edition Neiman serigraph of the Foreman-Frazier heavyweight championship fight on January 22, 1973 in Jamaica recreates the shock and awe of Foreman's 2nd-round KO that extinguished Smokin' Joe. It depicts Big George landing a nuclear right and a stunned Frazier, his gloves tucked under his chin like a death pose in a coffin, about to start crumbling. Intended by Neiman or not, a streak of red paint just under Joe's nose, though likely part of the tableau of the crowd, looks for the world like blood exploding out of his skull. The focus and snarling determination on Foreman's face says it all. It's a wonder Joe ever got up again. Serigraph is numbered 151/300 and signed by Neiman in pencil on the lower right border. VG with light foxing around the outer edges though the splashes of pink, red, green and blue are vibrant. 21 x 24" and mounted against heavier stock paper.
