2-page argosy of Joe’s handwritten notes detailing a 2-day business trip to L.A. on May 19-20, 1980. First is a sheet of stationary from Western Airlines’ Horizon Club in San Francisco, with Joe writing, "Up at 6:30 - packed and off to airport" as the 1st entry and then charting the flight’s arrival ("Late due to fog"), a cab ride to the Westin Hotel, a shopping spree on Rodeo Drive, and dinner at the Palm in San Diego ($30) - even cab fare ($8) and tips ($18). Second page of similar notes is on a plain sheet of paper, on whch Joe caluculated the cost of the trip at $246.95. Joe’s relentless fixation on the mundane is utterly fascinating and a bit bizarre. Pages are VG-EX with mild damage of the edges and fold marks on the Horizon page. Also included are plane, hotel and taxi receipts from the trip.
