Two signed DiMaggio checks from 1980 and a very intriguing IRS form signed by Joe on December 20, 1983. While the checks were small -- one to Wells Fargo Bank for $7 and the other to Bank of America for $19.95 - the IRS matter probably was a bigger deal, as the form asking Joe’s consent to extend the time to assess his tax form came from the District Director of Appeals. Perhaps Joe had filed an appeal over the tax bite he owed. Address on the form is 2150 Beach Street in San Francisco. Bowery Savings Bank checks were written in New York. Signatures are "Joseph DiMaggio" in blue pen and are NRMT on the checks, a little faded and VG on the tax form. Checks are NRMT, the form VG-EX with scattered damage and fold marks.
