UPDATE: This is a first year Quebec jersey.
There aren’t many of these original Nordiques jerseys around today. In fact, the Nordiques aren’t around today, either. Back when the WHA was just getting off the ground, or ice, center Andre Gaudette wore the shirt for the first three seasons of the league’s existence. Gaudette played a total of 222 games, with 61 goals and 166 points. On the front of the old-style blue dureen jersey with red and white piping is the team’s strange logo that looks like an elephant balancing a ball on its trunk -- actually a red hockey stick with a blue puck on its blade, leaning against a red igloo. On back is a white patch with "Gaudette" in red and "16" in red on white tackle twill. "16" also on both sleeves. Maska Tricot Sport tag in collar with care instructions. Extensive wear with some loose threads and a hole on the lower front.
