Lot 1933: 1994-95 Brendan Shanahan Game Used Jersey
ITEM DESCRIPTION

The V-neck collar is torn at the point seam, leaving one to imagine the grappling Brendan Shanahan went through in his game-used St. Louis Blues jersey from 1994-95. Navy, fire-engine red and mustard mixed in with puck scuffs and stick stains create a fab pastiche of match-generated and design touches. Shanahan's frayed assistant captain's "A" joins the Blues' musical note logo, and the trumpet patch on the left shoulder makes a grand accompaniment. A stain of blood lightened on the last "N" on Shanahan's back nameplate provides collision impact on this CCM-issue poly-mesh jersey (size 54) with stamped validation of the year and set, and team authentication hologram, behind the bottom hem. Shanahan, a punishing forward who loves to check and score, did plenty of both that season. In 45 games, he had notched 20 goals and 21 assists.
