ITEM DESCRIPTION

Brown's brilliant bust of a fighter with a towel wrapped around his head was crafted in 1946 and is eerily accurate right down to the cheekbones, battered nose and puffy forehead. Every fighter who's ever dished out and taken punishment inside the squared circle can relate to this pose, especially leaving the ring after a brutal bout, cold and hurting from every pore. Head is 3 x 2 1/2 x 4", an alloy of black and dark brown, and signed on back of the neck by Brown. Mounted on an oblong, solid silver base standing 5 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/2". Head needs retightening to base but is EX-MT.
