Definitely not your basic looseleaf-binder autograph collection, this wellspring of signatures from some great all-timers is on immaculate, limited edition material. Includes: 1) 20 signed 8 x 10 illustrations from Lewis' 1989 "Living Legend" set -- Mickey Mantle, Frank Robinson, Duke Snider, Mike Schmidt, Reggie Jackson, Eddie Mathews, Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose, Sandy Koufax, Whitey Ford, Warren Spahn, Bob Feller, Willie Mays, Johnny Bench, Enos Slaughter, Tom Seaver, Harmon Killebrew, Yogi Berra, Red Schoendienst, Don Drysdale. All prints numbered 176 of 5000. 2) Lewis' compelling 1988 poster "500 Home Run Hitters" (20 x 37"), signed by all in the image of the "club" posing in a pre-renovated Yankee Stadium -- Mantle, Mays, Robinson, Killebrew, Jackson, Ted Williams, Willie McCovey and Hank Aaron. Lewis's signature is also on attached. 3) Magnificent presentation set from MLB in conjunction with Perez-Steele Galleries commemorating the Hall of Fame's 50th anniversary. Includes a stately green outer box with a gold "Celebration" inlay featuring an old-time ballplayer swinging a bat and the underside of the top cover features a charming scene of an early ballgame. Inside is a green and gold covered brochure and smaller boxed set of 44 cards (4 x 6") which have unique artistic renderings of various players including Mantle, Berra, Williams, Bench, Bill Dickey, Lefty Gomez, Ralph Kiner, Johnny Mize, Willie Stargell, Roy Campanella, Bobby Doerr, Bill Terry, Catfish Hunter, Ernie Banks, Stan Musial, Pee Wee Reese, Negro league great Ray Dandridge, umpire Jocko Conlan, many more. Entire set of 44 is intact, with each card signed by the player depicted. Brochure marks the set as "06719/10,000". The entire "Celebration" box fits snugly into a secure green sleeve. All the signatures on these 3 pieces are spectacular -- NRMT at the least as are the "Living Legends" prints and "Celebration" set and cards. "500 Club" poster VG with a small piece of the lower left corner torn off and a slight tear along the right edge. This entire collection is one to celebrate.
