Lot 37: John Lennon "Mind Games" Gold Record
ITEM DESCRIPTION

"Mind Games" was the perfect title for a Lennon album, given the man's wry balance between real and surreal. One example: the "Nutopian" national anthem at the end of side one -- consisting of 3 seconds of silence. The 1973 LP quickly went gold, garnering this presitigious RIAA disk the following year. Presented to Capitol Records, the record is mounted in a framed display with the RIAA plaque and the cover art of a gigantic Yoko Ono face in a field Lennon is walking through. 17 x 21" and NRMT. Great display piece for fans of the "smart" Beatle.
