Celebrate the too-short reign of the St. Louis Hawks with 15 vintage programs and nine team and individual photos. The programs (VG to NRMT) range from St. Louis' maiden season in 1955-56 (George Mikan on the cover!) to their farewell campaign in 1967-68. Covers include Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Pettit, the face of the St. Louis franchise; Sam Jones, Tom Heinsohn and Bill Russell flying high above the rim in his college gym. The 8 by 10-inch individual photos (EX) are of Pettit, fellow All-Star Cliff Hagan, Zelmo Beaty, an impossibly young Lenny Wilkens and Charles Vaughn. The team pictures are from 60-61 (with action silhouettes) 61-62, 62-63 and 64-65. The Hawks made 12 playoff appearances and won one title (1958) while they were in St. Louis. That's a pretty good run.
