Lot 1934: Jaromir Jagr's 2000 World Team NHL All-Star Jersey
Jaromir Jagr's game-worn jersey from the 2001 NHL All-Star Game belongs on a designers' all-star team, too. The World team issue features so many sharp details that the eye doesn't now where to turn. Let's start with the maple leaf and star decal on the right breast to represent the World vs. North America format. Our eyes then lower to the space-age 2000 NHL logo. Move across to the classic NHL emblem in basic black with silver trim and lettering. The flag of Jagr's native Czech Republic sits on the left sleeve, and the Penguins bust graces the right. The red and white mesh has the CCM, NHLPA and NHL decals at the bottom. The back displays Jagr's nameplate sewn under the number""68". CCM and [size] "58" flag tags in collar. Jersey was lightly used, of course, but Jagr, the reigning MVP, made the most of his time on the ice. He had a goal and an assist in the World's 9-4 victory.
